Montgomery County officers boasted their benefits in a presentation to leaders in Frederick, Maryland. After the presentation the Frederick News Post said a majority of Frederick’s Board of Aldermen showed support for launching a camera program in the city, but there’s no word when they might vote on the plan.
The number of deadly crashes in Montgomery County has dropped 35 percent since a speed camera program began there.
The new Maryland law took effect October 1 and already mobile speed cameras are being used along I-95 in the Inter-County Connector work zone.
